  1. Ouch!! Do you think they will recover? It’s interesting that your other plants didn’t have much damage. I guess since they are floating on the water, they cannot move at all when they are hit with a hailstone and they absorb the full enery of a hit.

  2. Don’t worry, they’ll be fine. Just remove the unhappy leaves. Water lilies will sometimes get beat up like that even when shipping. When the water temperature heats up they’ll grow back quick.

  3. Hi Meredith, aw…I feel for you! Damages done to my garden is usually caused by deer! I will make time to check out your pond post since I’m trying to build up stamina to dig one in my own garden! P.S. I love the pic of your kitty in the dryer!

  4. Hi Meredith, Lovely blog you have here. I’ve been poking around and must say I love the pond. Too bad about your lilies. And also about your sandals! Bad ole dogs. I have four of my own and you almost have to watch them all the time. I think they sense when you are not watching them. That is when I find huge holes in my garden, nothing so expensive as shoes chewed though.
You garden and blog in one of the busiest garden blogging areas on the net. When I first began (almost two years ago) all I ever heard about was Austin and how progressive it is. It really is a lovely place, though I’ve never been. The garden bloggers had a spring fling there last spring. Looked like fun. Especially seeing all the wildflowers.
Have any finches come and tried out your socks? I think that jersey looks cool. You have a great rest of the day now.

  5. Can I just say that your photography is AMAZING? I love it! I know this isn’t gardening related, but may I also add that I love your hair! I envy thick, long, wavy hair and your color is fantastic! I’m a follower of your blog! I’ll be back!
